BURIAL OF LATE DEACONESS EMILY ABOYE EREMASI (NEE IBEGU)

The Chairman, Officers, and all members of The Port Harcourt Link Club of Nigeria extend their heartfelt condolences to our esteemed Member, Linkite A. J. Beredugo, LL.D., following the loss of his beloved Mother-in-law, Deaconess Emily Aboye Eremasi.

Upon learning of Ma Emily Aboye Eremasi’s passing, the PHLC promptly arranged and paid an official condolence visit to the bereaved family to offer support and prayers.

The funeral service, held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the D.S.P Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, was attended by a large number of PHLC members, distinguished guests, community leaders, and well-wishers, reflecting deep respect and admiration for her life.

Deaconess Emily Aboye Eremasi (née Ibegu), who was 75 years old at the time of her passing, was a devoted Christian and an active church member. She was known for her unwavering faith, discipline, and pioneering spirit as an educator. Her career was marked by groundbreaking achievements in the education sector, and she was celebrated as a social advocate committed to community development. Her personality was characterized by her independence, intelligence, beauty, and sophistication. She exuded compassion and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her love and dedication to her family and church were evident in all her actions.

A rare combination of academic excellence, athletic ability, and a profound sense of community service distinguished her life. She served as a role model, inspiring many with her sacrificial spirit, resilience, and integrity.

Members of the PHLC actively participated in all funeral rites and activities, demonstrating solidarity and support for our brother and friend throughout the mourning period. The Chairman of the Port Harcourt Link Club of Nigeria, Alabo Opuene Batubo, led members in heartfelt prayers, invoking divine strength and comfort for the family of Bar. A. J. Beredugo, LL.D, urging divine guidance to help them cope with their grief with resilience and renewed hope.
